Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida defeated Paulo André Saraiva dos Santos 3-6, 6-3, 6-0 in the first round of the Curitiba Challenger.

The all-Brazilian main-draw match went to three sets. Pucinelli de Almeida dropped the opening set 3-6, took the second 6-3 and closed out the match 6-0.

With the result, Pucinelli de Almeida advances in the main draw. Saraiva dos Santos is eliminated in the first round.
