The final began with the two Brazilians at a disadvantage. Arevalo and Pavic closed out the first set 7-5. Luz and Matos responded with 6-4 in the second, taking the match out of their opponents’ control.
It came down to the match tie-break. The Brazilians dominated the exchanges from start to finish and closed it out 10-6.
The match took place on the hard court of the Canadian tournament, which is part of the ATP circuit.
