Alcaraz reclaims ATP No. 2 without playing since April
Carlos Alcaraz returned to second place in the ATP rankings despite not competing since April due to a wrist injury.
The Spaniard overtook Germany’s Alexander Zverev in the standings released Monday by the ATP. Alcaraz had spent three weeks in third place before reclaiming the vice-leadership, according to TenisBrasil.
The ranking shift occurred without Alcaraz competing. He has been sidelined since April with a wrist injury, having previously held the No. 2 position before dropping to third.
