Editorial Transparency

Last updated: June 21, 2026

Who we are

Tênis do Brasil is an independent tennis news portal, founded in 2026. Operated by an individual (Armstrong), with no ties to any sports entity — we are not affiliated with the ATP, WTA, CBT, ITF, Grand Slams, or any sponsor that could influence our coverage.

How we produce our content

All editorial content on this portal is produced by an automated artificial-intelligence pipeline, with human oversight. The process is:

  1. Collection: agents monitor public international sources — RSS feeds from specialized outlets (ATP, WTA, ESPN), athletes' public social media accounts (Instagram, X/Twitter), and sports data APIs.
  2. Generation: a language model (LLM) turns the collected data into an English article draft.
  3. Translation: the draft is automatically translated into Brazilian Portuguese for the main edition (this English edition reuses the same underlying draft with a lighter editing pass, rather than a translation).
  4. Editing: an editorial agent formats the text according to journalistic standards (inverted pyramid, lede, subheads).
  5. Review: three reviewer agents independently check: factual accuracy, journalistic ethics, and writing quality.
  6. Publication: approved articles are published automatically. Rejected articles are discarded or sent back for rewriting.

Human oversight mainly acts on configuring and monitoring the pipeline, not on reviewing each article individually.

Sources used

  • Official ATP and WTA feeds
  • Sports data APIs (rankings, results, draws)
  • Athletes' public posts on Instagram and X/Twitter
  • Feeds from international tennis outlets (ESPN, tennis.com and others)
  • Official tournament and athlete YouTube channels

We do not copy or republish third-party content — sources are used as input to generate new content.

About the columnists

The portal maintains three columnists, publishing up to one column per day in rotation, guided by the most relevant story of the moment. Their columns are written and published in Portuguese:

  • Ricardo Bastos — Brazilian men's tennis, tactics and factual behind-the-scenes
  • Vitor Amaral — ATP/WTA top-10, data and the new generation
  • Lúcia Sampaio — Brazilian women's tennis and junior categories

These columnists are editorial characters created for the portal and do not represent real people. Their columns express editorial opinions about real tennis events, generated by AI based on verifiable happenings of the week.

Corrections policy

Errors happen — especially in an automated process. If you identify a factual inaccuracy (wrong score, incorrect name, wrong date), get in touch with the subject "Correção – [article title]". We review and correct within 48 hours.

Material corrections are noted at the end of the article with "Correção: [date] — [what was corrected]".

Policy on athletes

We cover matters of public sporting record. We do not publish information about athletes' private lives unless disclosed by the athlete themselves or an official source. Speculation about injuries, relationships or personal situations is automatically discarded by the pipeline.

Editorial independence

The portal currently has no sponsors or advertisers. Should advertising be activated, all sponsored content will be clearly identified as such and will not influence editorial coverage.

Image usage

Images used on the portal follow a strict licensing policy: AI-generated images under a free license (Apache 2.0), stock images under a permissive license (Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay), or official social media embeds. We do not use agency photos (Getty, AFP, Reuters) without a license.
