WTA 250 🔵 Hard court São Paulo, Brazil · September

SP Open

A WTA 250 tournament played at Parque Villa-Lobos since 2025. Brazil's premier women's tennis event, with affordable tickets and a free qualifying draw.

About the tournament

The SP Open is Brazil’s premier women’s tennis tournament, played at Parque Villa-Lobos in São Paulo. Launched in 2025, the WTA 250 event brought top-level professional women’s tennis back to the country after years without it.

The tournament is played on hard courts, unlike the clay-court Rio Open, giving Brazil two events on different surfaces on the international calendar.

Early editions

At the inaugural 2025 edition, Luisa Stefani won the doubles title, giving Brazil a home triumph right from the tournament’s debut. The event quickly built a reputation for its accessible atmosphere and its closeness to the players — a rarity on tour.

Brazilians at the SP Open

The SP Open is the big opportunity for Brazilian players to compete at home in front of their own fans. Bia Haddad Maia, Laura Pigossi and Luisa Stefani have a special stage each season at Parque Villa-Lobos.

Tickets

Tickets for the SP Open are sold through Eventim Brasil, with free admission to the qualifying rounds and no service fee. The 2026 edition (September 12–20) has tickets starting at R$ 50 (half-price) and R$ 100 (full price), with sales open since June.
