Brazil sends three seeds to 2026 Wimbledon junior draw
Guto Miguel, the world No. 1 junior, leads a five-player Brazilian contingent at the All England Club, joined by seeds Victória Barros and Nauhany Silva in the women's draw.
Brazil has three seeds in the 2026 Wimbledon junior draws, which begin Saturday on the grass courts of the All England Club. World No. 1 Guto Miguel tops the men’s bracket, while Victória Barros and Nauhany Silva enter the women’s draw as seeds 4 and 5. Five Brazilians total are in the main draws, with Pietra Rivoli still eligible to advance through qualifying.
Miguel arrives in strong form as the junior Roland Garros champion this year — his first Grand Slam title in the category. The Goiás native opens against British wild card Vincent Fletcher, 17, ranked 353rd in the junior rankings. It is his second appearance in the Wimbledon main draw; he won one match in the previous edition.
Barros, 16, ranked No. 4 in the world, is the fourth seed in the women’s draw and debuts against British player Tegan Bush, 17, ranked 1,042nd on the WTA. Silva, seed 5, begins against a qualifier and could face Spanish player Charo Esquiva, seed 10, on the path to the quarterfinals. Both Brazilians are 16 years old.
Unseeded Brazilians face tough draws
Outside the seeded group, Leonardo Storck, ranked 20th and a Roland Garros semifinalist, opens his singles campaign. Pedro Chabalgoity, 18, of Brasília and ranked 42nd, debuts against Dutch player Thijs Boogaard.
Brazil has yet to win a Wimbledon junior title, despite previous finals and semifinal appearances in the category. Miguel and both women seeds represent the country’s best chance at ending that drought when their respective draws conclude over the coming days.
