De Minaur, Tiafoe advance to Montreal Masters third round
Alex de Minaur and Frances Tiafoe both posted straight-set victories to reach the third round in Montreal.
Alex de Minaur opened his campaign with a win over compatriot James Duckworth. The Australian prevailed 6/2, 7/6 (8-6) in one hour and 48 minutes to move into the third round, according to TenisBrasil.
The 25-year-old was runner-up at this tournament last year.
Frances Tiafoe also reached the third round. The American defeated Marin Cilic in the second round, as shown in ATP Tour highlights.
