Defending champion Barbora Krejcikova dropped the opening set to fifth seed Mirra Andreeva on Centre Court at the All England Club, then won the next two to advance 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 into the Wimbledon third round.

Andreeva claimed the first set but could not sustain the advantage. Krejcikova seized control through the second and third sets, closing out the match without further dropped service.

Czech keeps title defense on track

Krejcikova won the women’s singles title at Wimbledon in 2024. Tuesday’s second-round victory keeps her in the draw as she pursues a second title at the British Grand Slam. Her third-round opponent has yet to be determined.
