The SP Open organization confirmed Laura Pigossi in the singles draw. The announcement was made on the tournament’s official account.
Bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympic Games, the Paulista joins Paula Badosa, Leylah Fernandez, Nauhany Silva, Victoria Barros, Eva Lys, and Yulia Putintseva.
The SP Open presents itself as the biggest women’s tennis event in Brazil. Date and location have not yet been announced.
