Mateus Bozzini reaches second straight J30 semifinal in Ecuador
Brazilian junior Mateus Bozzini, 16, advanced to the J30 Salinas semifinals by defeating Aldo Zerega 7-6(8-6), 6-1.
The victory marks Bozzini’s second consecutive J30 semifinal appearance in Ecuador, according to TenisBrasil. He won his first title on the ITF junior circuit last Saturday.
The Brazilian teenager now aims to reach back-to-back finals at the hard-court event in Salinas. He dropped just one game in the second set against the home player after taking the opener in a tiebreak.
The J30 level represents entry-tier tournaments on the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors.
