Mateus Bozzini defeated top seed Diego Valpereiro 6/4, 4/6, 6/3 to claim his first ITF Junior title at the J30 event in Salinas, Ecuador.

The 16-year-old prevailed in an all-Brazilian final on hard courts. Valpereiro entered the match as the tournament’s number one seed.

The victory marks Bozzini’s first title on the ITF World Junior Tennis Tour. The J30 category represents the entry level of the international junior circuit.
