Jessica Pegula defeated Diana Shnaider 7-5, 6-4 to reach the Washington final, returning to the tournament where she won her first WTA title.

The world No. 3 advanced past the 18th-ranked Shnaider in one hour and 26 minutes on Saturday, according to TenisBrasil. Pegula has never lost a match in Washington.

Her last appearance in the Washington final came in 2019, when she captured her maiden WTA Tour trophy. The American now has a chance to add a second title at the WTA 500 event.

Pegula’s victory over Shnaider was secured in straight sets, with the match lasting 86 minutes.
