Ellen Perez and Demi Schuurs defeated Anastasia Tikhonova and Renata Zarazúa 6-1, 6-3 in the first round of the US Open women’s doubles.
The winners took the opening set 6-1 and closed the match with a 6-3 second set.
The result sends Perez and Schuurs into the second round. Tikhonova and Zarazúa were eliminated.
