Rublev defends Bastad title with straight-sets win over Darderi
Andrey Rublev won the Bastad ATP 250 for a second straight year, defeating Italy's Luciano Darderi in Sunday's final.
The top-seeded Russian repeated his 2023 triumph at the Swedish clay-court event, according to TenisBrasil. Rublev needed two sets to overcome Darderi and secure back-to-back crowns in Bastad.
After the match, he emphasized that luck played a role at key moments during the tournament. “I feel great,” the Russian said following the victory.
The win marks his successful title defense at the ATP 250 tournament.
