Alexander Zverev defeated Jiri Lehecka 6-4, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6) on Monday to advance to the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the first time in his career, a stage the German had never reached at the All England Club before this edition.

The match lasted 3 hours and 22 minutes. Lehecka won the third set to reopen the contest, but Zverev regained control in the fourth-set tiebreak and closed it out 8-6.
