Luisa Stefani

Luisa Stefani is the greatest doubles player in the history of Brazilian women’s tennis and one of the sport’s global benchmarks in the discipline. Born in Florianópolis on May 7, 1999, she began making her mark on the doubles circuit at a young age and quickly became a regular presence in the late stages of Grand Slams and WTA 1000 tournaments.

In 2021, she rose to the top 10 of the WTA doubles ranking alongside American Hayley Carter. A serious shoulder injury in 2022 sidelined Stefani for nearly a year, but she returned to the tour at the same level and again established herself among the world’s best doubles players.

In 2025, she won the doubles title at the SP Open — Brazil’s premier women’s tournament — and reached the semifinals at Roland Garros in 2026.

In singles, Stefani competes regularly on the WTA circuit, with more consistent results on the ITF tour and in qualifying rounds of bigger tournaments. Her specialty is net play and point-construction skill in doubles.
