Bouzkova extends Prague winning streak to seven, sets up Valentova clash
Defending champion Marie Bouzkova beat Carol Young Suh Lee 7-5, 6-4 to reach the Prague quarter-finals against compatriot Tereza Valentova.
Marie Bouzkova maintained her unbeaten run at the WTA 250 tournament in Prague with a straight-sets victory over American qualifier Carol Young Suh Lee. The match lasted one hour and 56 minutes.
The win marks Bouzkova’s seventh consecutive victory at the event, including her title run in the previous edition. The Czech, ranked 21st in the WTA standings, entered the tournament as its top seed and defending champion.
Bouzkova will next face fellow Czech Tereza Valentova in an all-domestic quarter-final. Valentova advanced by defeating Maya Joint, according to WTA match highlights.
The Prague event is being played on clay in the Czech capital.
