Felipe Meligeni dominated an all-Brazilian encounter against João Schiessl, the Paraná player falling in straight sets. The 28-year-old São Paulo native advanced to the round of 16 at the M25 event held at Esporte Clube Pinheiros, according to TenisBrasil.

The match marked the first competitive appearance since Meligeni started working with former professional Thomaz Bellucci as his coach. The M25 tournament represents the entry-level tier of the ITF Men’s World Tennis Tour.

Meligeni moves on to the next stage of the clay-court competition in São Paulo.
