Pucinelli wins on debut, falls to Tarvet in Roehampton
Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida beat Péter Makk in his first match at the English Challenger, then lost to Oliver Tarvet in the second round.
Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida started well at the Challenger in Roehampton, England. In his debut, he made quick work of Hungary’s Péter Makk, winning 6-3, 6-1.
The second match told a different story. Oliver Tarvet took the first set 6-2, watched the Brazilian respond 7-5 in the second, and closed it out 6-4 in the third.
