Candiotto advanced through the draw at the ITF tournament in Asunción and plays for the title Sunday. A victory would give her a second trophy on the ITF circuit.
In Salinas, Bruno Rodrigues and Clara Elkind each reached the final in separate draws within the same event — Elkind in the women’s competition, Rodrigues in the men’s. Both titles are contested this weekend.
In Piracicaba, Thiago Wild and Pucinelli advanced to the doubles semifinals. Two wins separate them from the title on Brazilian soil.
Stefani opens Wimbledon against Williams sisters
Luisa Stefani and Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski enter Wimbledon as second seeds in women’s doubles. Their debut opponents are sisters Serena and Venus Williams.
