The Brazilian Tennis Confederation has launched ‘Momento CBTênis,’ a weekly program produced with ESPN that replaces ‘Drops CBT’ after five years on air. The new format broadens coverage across all disciplines, from the professional circuit to junior tennis.

The first episode, which aired May 5, featured an exclusive interview with Marcelo Melo, a segment on Thiago Monteiro and a report on the new generation competing at Copa COSAT — a South American tournament that distributes qualifying spots for Wimbledon.

What subsequent episodes covered

Later editions included coverage of Brazilian junior and professional players at Roland-Garros, a career retrospective with Jaime Oncins, an interview with tennis player Nauhany Silva and a report on Marcelo Demoliner. One episode also incorporated international content through a story involving Pietra Rivoli and Aryna Sabalenka.

The program tracks results from the CBT National Junior Circuit and other tournaments featuring Brazilian players. New episodes air weekly on ESPN channels and the confederation’s digital platforms.
