Brazil sets sights on Billie Jean King Cup in Colombia as junior calendar rolls on
The CBT detailed preparations for the women's team's Billie Jean King Cup tie in Ibagué, Colombia, and announced the next Roland-Garros Junior series stage in São Paulo.
Brazil’s women’s tennis team prepares to compete in the Billie Jean King Cup in Ibagué, Colombia, with the Brazilian Tennis Confederation (CBT) outlining its mobilization plan in the latest edition of Drops CBT, the organization’s weekly update series.
On the junior circuit, Nauhany Silva claimed the Banana Bowl title — an edition the CBT described as a landmark for the tournament. The win caps a busy stretch for Brazilian junior tennis that included the Brasil Juniors Cup and the first phase of the CBT National Junior Circuit in Belém.
Junior Circuit Continues in São Paulo
The next stage of the Roland-Garros Junior series is set for São Paulo, the CBT announced, resuming the domestic junior schedule following those recent competitions.
For the senior women’s team, attention now turns to Ibagué and the Billie Jean King Cup tie.
