US Open

The last Grand Slam of the year, played in New York since the start of the Open Era in 1968. Home to the world's largest tennis venue — Arthur Ashe Stadium, with 23,771 seats.

About the tournament

The US Open is the last Grand Slam of the year and one of the most glamorous sporting events in New York. Played at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Queens, the tournament closes out the Grand Slam season with the vibrant energy of the city that never sleeps.

Arthur Ashe Stadium, the US Open’s main arena, is the largest tennis venue in the world, seating 23,771. Its retractable roof opened in 2016, eliminating the tournament’s longstanding problem with rain delays.

Night session in New York

The US Open is the Grand Slam most famous for its night-session atmosphere. Evening matches at Arthur Ashe — with the illuminated Manhattan skyline in the background — create one of the most distinctive atmospheres in tennis. New York’s loud, passionate crowds are legendary on tour.

Brazilians at the US Open

Guga reached the US Open final in 2000, losing to Marat Safin in one of the tensest matches of that year. Bia Haddad Maia counts the US Open among her favorite tournaments on tour, with historic results on hard courts.

Tickets

The US Open sells tickets through direct purchase via Ticketmaster USA. The Arthur Ashe Day Pass grants access to the stadium and the outer courts. There is also an exclusive presale for American Express cardholders.
