Luisa Stefani reached the Wimbledon doubles semifinal for the first time in her career after she and Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski defeated Anna Siskova and Katarzyna Piter 6-1 on the London grass.

The result carries added weight: in each of the two previous editions of the tournament, Stefani had fallen in the quarterfinals. The win also pushed her into the top 5 of the doubles world rankings — the highest position she has held in her career.
